About Me – Michael Champagne LMT
16 Years World Class Experience
About Me
My path so far in life has been an interesting one. An Army Veteran by the time I turned 21, a field artillary man. I drove a 26 ton self propelled 8 inch gun. As well as being chosen for a 7 man team termed “Red dog Team”, or mad dog team. An expert in many weapons, the team was a quick reactionary force for enemy ground troops. I ended my service in the military and pursued a cooking career with a total of 17 years in the restaurant industry. I learned how to cook quickly and attained several chef positions over the years, as Sous Chef for many fine dining establishments as well as Executive Chef of a catering company.
Moving Forward
Over the years, although my love for cooking and great food still exists, the stress of that industry was becoming too much. I traded my apron for a massage table. And In 2007 attended the South Carolina Massage and Esthetics Institute. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, and shortly after acquired my National Certification for Massage Therapy. Since then I have acquired certifications in Medical massage, pre-natal massage. Advanced Deep tissue techniques, lymphatic massage for lymphedema as well as post-operative manual lymphatic drainage for body modification procedures.
Proven to be quite effective in treating Plantar fasciitis in many clients over the years. I use a manual method as well as a pro machine I use in my studio to relive the tension and pain associated with this disorder.
After 15 years I am still practicing massage. It’s a career I still love and still have a great passion for. I am up to date on all new South Carolina regulations and have already been inspected with an additional Massage Provider location license. I hold my current massage and business license. And of course, always insured. Book one of the best massage experiences you will encounter in my small and art filled studio in the heart of Surfside Beach, SC.
